PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk (bank bjb) fully supports Bank Indonesia (BI) in providing new rupiah currency needs during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Bank Indonesia re-operated the new rupiah currency exchange and mobile cash services during Ramadan after 2 years of being abolished due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of bank bjb, Widi Hartoto, said that Bank Indonesia is collaborating with banks to open new rupiah currency exchange services at exchange points located in branch offices from April 4-29 2022 covering 453 exchange points in the Jabodebek area.
The new rupiah exchange service cooperation between Bank Indonesia and banks was inaugurated through the “Kick off Serambi Rupiah Ramadhan” event which was opened by the Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Aida S. Budiman and attended by 15 banking directors.

In addition, bank bjb also participates in the Bank Indonesia Mobile Cash service to better reach the wider community on April 18-29 2022, which is located at Pulau Gebang Terminal.
